Hearing Aids & Audiology

​For over a decade, I've supported some of the world's biggest hearing aid brands & manufacturers in the design of their product- ranges.

Challenges & learnings include;

​

- Technical complexity related to miniaturisation & production (close collaboration with engineering teams)

​

- Working within technical constraints related to acoustics & audiology.

​

- The transition to recharge-ability (& how this impact use- cases, user- experience & chargers).

​

- The introduction of connectivity (esp bluetooth) & the related usability & technical complexity this entails.

​

- 'In- ear' products (lots of learnings about ear- anatomy).

​

My role was 'Design Lead' in the projects shown above.

It should be noted, however, that these complex projects are a result of truly collaborative efforts, in which many designers & engineers have iterated upon countless versions of concepts & technical platforms.
