Project Description/ Initial Insight
“…The World Health Organization estimates that two-thirds of the planet does not have access to basic radiology services: [including] simple x-rays, which can show a cracked bone or lung infection...”*
Supporting the startup medical company Pristem in the design of their ultra- robust & reliable Xray system; the aim of which is to improve access to radiology, especially in developing countries.
Working directly with the company founders & senior management.
Pristem emerged from a research project at the renowned ‘EPFL’ - (Swiss Federal Technology Institute of Lausanne).
Responsibilities & Involvement
- Visual identity & design direction setting (company logo, wordmark & advice on broader visual- identity)
- Industrial design (concept through to production)
- Collaboration with internal & external teams
- Interaction Design & Graphical User Interface support (collaboration with an external agency who were ultimately responsible for the screen- based GUI)
